HYANNIS — The Staples store on Barnstable Road in the Airport Plaza Shopping Center was evacuated Saturday morning after a heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit burned up. The office supply store was evacuated at about 8:30 a.m., said Hyannis fire Capt. William Rex. Nobody was injured, and there was only minor damage to the building, Rex said.
