Well, in this week’s installment of the SmartVan Job of the Week feature, we’re highlighting, among others, a position where you can put all those lost hours to work: field service supervisor for Nintendo of America, Inc.

The Skinny: Nintendo has one full-time opening for a field service supervisor at its American HQ in Washington state. The salary is based on past experience, and the position requires three years’ experience as a supervisor, as well as three years’ experience in electronics repair and troubleshooting. Cablevision is hiring a full-time field tech to install Optimum cable service in customers’ homes and offices. The field service technician will learn and perform all aspects of installation, provide excellent customer service, and perform some sales functions.
Canon Business Solutions is seeking a senior digital service specialist in Oakland, Calif., to be responsible for on-site service for customers. You will be trained by Canon in a six-week program on troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. To qualify you must have an associate’s degree in electronics technology, related fields, or equivalent experience. Excellent customer service is a must, as the senior digital service specialist works with many loyal customers, including businesses and government offices.
Out of Hodgkins, Ill., Cummins Power has an open position as a field service power generation technician. The role requires at least two years of experience in power generation repair, and a related technical degree is a plus. A valid drivers license is required with preference given to those applicants with a CDL. The technician will travel to customers to diagnose, repair, and set up generator systems. They will also perform planned maintenance and complete work orders.
